How to Hide Your Status on WhatsApp on an Android Device

Preparation

1. Go to Your Phone Menu.
2. Find WhatsApp.
3. Tap on the WhatsApp Icon.
4. Make Sure you are on the “Chats” Tab.
5. Tap on “More Options” Which Is a Three-Dot Icon Located at the Top Right Corner of the Page.
6. Go to “Settings”.
7. Tap on “Account”. This Will Open Your Account Settings Page.
8. Tap on “Privacy”.
9. Tap on “Status”. This Option Will Show Your Current Settings for Status Privacy. Tapping on It Will Give You the Option to Change Your Settings.
10. Select Your Status Audience From the Menu.
11. You Have three Options: My Contacts, My Contacts Except..., or Only Share with...
12. To Hide Your Status Updates from Everyone. Select “Only Share With” Option and Don’t Select any contacts in the next screen.
13. Now, Tap the “Checkmark” in the Lower-right Corner of Your Screen to Update Your Settings.
