How to Download Subtitles in VLC Media Player Automatically

Preparation

1. Open Your Favorite Browser.
2. Go to addons.videolan.org
3. In the Search Box, Type “VLSub” and Hit Search.
4. Click on the “Download” Button.
5. Wait for the Download to Complete.
6. Once the Download is Complete, Click on the Arrow Next to File and Select “Show in Folder”.
7. Copy the File and Paste it in the Following Location.
8. Windows: %ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\extensions\ Linux: /usr/lib/vlc/lua/extensions/ Mac OS X: /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/extensions/
9. Now, Open VLC Media Player on Your PC.
10. Import Your Favorite Movie or TV Show.
11. In the Top Menu Bar, Click on “View” Option.
12. Click on “VLSub” From the Drop Down Menu.
13. A Dialogue Box Pops Up.
14. Select Your “Preferred Language”.
15. Now, Enter the Name of the Movie or TV Show.
16. You Can Also Enter “Season” and “Episode” Number for a More Precise Search.
17. Click the "Search by hash" or "Search by name" Option to Search.
18. Select the Suitable and Matched Subtitle File.
19. Click the "Download Section" Button to Download Subtitles for VLC.
20. The Subtitle File Will Be Downloaded to the Default Location of the Video and Added to Your Currently Playing Video Automatically!
21. Click “Close” to Close the Dialog Box.
22. As You Can See, Subtitle Has Been Added to Our Video.
