How to Convert Video File Format using VLC Media Player

Preparation

1. We Have a Video File on Our Device, Which is in MP4 Format. We Want to Convert this into Mpeg1 Format.
2. To do that, Open VLC Media Player on Your PC.
3. In the Top Menu Bar, Click on “Media” Option.
4. Click on “Convert/Save” From the Drop Down Menu.
5. Open Media “Dialogue” Box Will Open.
6. Click on the “Add” Button.
7. Now, Locate the File on Your Computer and Click “Open”.
8. Click on the “Convert/Save” Button.
9. Under “Settings” Section. Make Sure “Convert” Radio Button is Selected.
10. Now, Click on the “Gear” Icon Next to “Profile”.
11. Navigate to “Video Codec” Tab and Select Your Preferred “Video Codec” From the Drop Down Menu.
12. Navigate to “Audio Codec” Tab and Select Your Preferred “Audio Codec” From the Drop Down Menu.
13. Click “Save” to Close the Dialog Box.
14. Now, Click on the “Browse” Button and Navigate to the Location Where You Want to Save the File.
15. Enter a Name for the File and Click “Save”.
16. You Will Know That Your Video Has Been Converted Once the Video Progress Bar Moves to the End.
17. Now, Navigate to the Saved Location and Double Click on the File to Open it.
